The Global Challenges and Sustainable Development Goals: A Path to a Better Future

Billions of people worldwide live in poverty, with half of the global population facing limited rights and opportunities, especially women. Human rights are not universally guaranteed, inequalities are rising between rich and poor, countries are experiencing high levels of pollution and biodiversity loss, and our current lifestyle disregards the planet's biophysical limits.
